Q(i)What are craters?
Ans :- Craters are are big bowl shaped  holes on the moon.
Q(ii) What are different  Phases of the moon?
Ans: There are many different Phases of the moon. They are new moon, cresent, Half moon, Gibbos, and Fullmoon.
(iii) What is lunar month called?
The moon takes about 29 days to complete a cycle i.e. from one new moon to another. This period is called a lunar month.

(iv) Name the three astronauts who landed on the moon for the first time? 
Ans:-Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldwin and Michael Collins .
(v) What are the things which have been brought to the earth by the astronauts from the moon ?
Ans: Astronauts collected samples of rocks and soil and brought them on the earth. The rocks and soil have given a lot of information about the moon.

(vi) What is a solar eclipse?
Ans: When the moon comes between the sun and the earth, it casts its sadow on the earth's surface and fully or partially obscures the sun. This is called a solar clipse. 
 (vi) What is a lunar eclipse?
Lunar Eclipse - When the earth comes between the sun and the moon, it blocks  the sunlight from reaching the moon and creates a shadow. This is called a lunar eclipse.

(viii) What is an artificial satellite. Name any two artificial satellites?
 Ans: An artificial satellite is a man made spacecraft which orbits the earth just as the moon orbits. Aryabhatta and Bhaskara Satelite are launched by India in 1975.
(ix) Mention two uses of artificial satellites .
Artificial satellites are of much uses for the mankind.
1. These help to study whether forecasting.
2.These send electronic signals from and to different places on this earth. 
(x) Why is it difficult to travel into the space ?
To travel into space is very difficult becase first of all astronauts learn about the space. Then They do intensive training to acquire all the skill and knowledge necessary for going into space.
